What is eCommerce?
eCommerce is a way of selling goods and services electronically,
usually via a 'shop' or 'online catalogue' over the internet. This follows a similar
process to selling goods 'offline', including concepts like display,
stock control and payment.
Customers to your store will be able to view
your products along with an image, description and price. If they choose
to purchase a product it will be added to their 'Cart' or 'Shopping
Basket'. When finished they will be able to 'Checkout' and place the
order with you, optionally paying online via credit card if applicable.
How does it work?
eCommerce stores can include many thousands of products, our
normal practice is to populate your shop with an agreed number of
products for launch.
Once your store is up and running you will be able to login to an administration area and manage
your shop quickly and efficiently, adding products and images,
contacting customers, processing orders, etc.  Depending on individual requirements this can involve
online ordering with automated payment processing, or online ordering with offline
payment processing.
