Stage 1 :: Requirements
Our Way provides a brief overview of our approach to a typical web
development project. It's by no means complete and there is of course
no such thing as a typical project but it will hopefully provide you with an
insight into methodology.
Let's
imagine for a moment that you contact us regarding a new website for
your organsiation. First stage would be for us to meet.
At our initial meeting we start to lay some solid foundations for your new website together.
We will discuss possible technologies to be used, and not used, as well as
requirements and suggested features you would like to see included. From this we
create an initial requirement outline.
Working down the items in our requirement outline we will cover each in a little more depth. How is it intended to
integrate with the rest of the website? What are you hoping to achieve?
We will discuss the look and feel of the website.
You may or may not have an idea of how you'd like the website to look.
Some do, some don't - it's not a problem - that's what we're here for.
You might or might not have a corporate brand style guide for us to
follow. If not, it's not a problem, again, we can help. By the end of this first meeting we will have a comprehensive list
containing suggested features and a good idea of how you imagine the
website will work, and quite possibly, how it will look too.
Website Proposal Document
Using the requirement outline and any additional notes gathered from
the initial meeting, we will produce a comprehensive Website Proposal
Document.
This document will contain:
» an outline of your requirements
» our proposed solutions to these requirements
» an outline of timescales
» a breakdown of costs for each requirement based on time
» an estimate for optional ongoing maintenance, technical support and search engine optimisation (seo).
» staff capabilities and profiles
» client testimonials
This proposal will be provided to you along with our standard terms and conditions for your consideration.
Further revisions of this proposal may be needed depending on requirement changes and/or budgets.
Once everything outlined in the proposal is approved we can move onto the next stage of the project.
