Setting up an email account in Outlook Express

Open Outlook Express, Click on the Tools menu and select Accounts.


Click on the Mail tab Then Click on Add and select Mail.


In Display name type the name you want to appear at the top of your email, click Next.


In E-mail address, enter your new email address, click Next.


Make sure the incoming mail server is POP3.
In Incoming Mail, type 'mail.yourdomain.com'.
In Outgoing Mail, type 'mail.yourdomain.com' and click Next.
Replace 'yourdomain.com' with your own domain name.


In Account name enter your new email address for this account.
In Password enter the Password for this account.
Click on remember password, then click Next.



Click Finish.


Okay, your almost ready to go. One last setting needs to changed.
Highlight the newly created email acount and click Properties.


Click on the Servers tab and look toward the bottom.
Click the checkbox next to My server requires authentication.
If you ignore this step you will receive an error when trying to send emails.
Click OK.


Congratulations! You have just created your email account.
If you Need To Add More Email accounts, repeat the above instructions...
